Just because you're good at it does not mean you like it.

This is a very easy scenario to fall victim to.  You have been given a job because you have shown incredible aptitude or have been doing the job for some time.  Congratulations, right? Not quite. You know this story. The problem is that you discover that you don't like doing this job.  This is a common dilemma. Here you seemingly only have two options.

You can work through this, continue to build your track record of success and your positive professional reputation.  Or...you can take advice from the poet, Shel Silverstein:

“If you have to dry the dishes
(Such an awful boring chore)
If you have to dry the dishes
('Stead of going to the store)
If you have to dry the dishes
And you drop one on the floor
Maybe they won't let you
Dry the dishes anymore”
Shel Silverstein, A Light in the Attic

Wait! There is a third option!  Innovate. A new faster drying towel or a dish drying machine. Make this job better, make it less of your time, make it unnecessary by process improvements.  This is the option that leads to true success and advancement.

Do not take the "business as usual" approach. Do not take the reputation-killing "easy way out".
