The powerful play goes on.

As you start 2012, don't make the statement, "it was like this when I got here," or, as stated in a recent Seth Godin post, "things were always this way".  I hate these excuses, but I'll admit...I've used them before (more than once). The truth is, I probably should have done a better job of assessing how things were before I decided to insert myself into the business, process, program, etc. OK, lesson learned.  So how can we all learn from the mistakes of the past in order to exact positive change for the future?

Well, you might have done things different in 2011.  You might be cleaning up someone's mess. Maybe it is your mess. Of course, you can't undo the past, but today is your lucky day...here is 2012.

However, all of the world's troubles were here when 2012 got here. Maybe it was all 2011's fault, maybe 2007. Maybe it was always this way. Regardless of the reason, one thing is certain, 2013 will come along before you know it.

How do you ensure that you made the world (and yourself) a better place at the end of 2012?

One answer you may consider:

That you are here-that life exists and identity,
That the powerful play goes on, and you may contribute a verse.
