Your greatest hits.

Pretty much every band these days puts out a greatest hits album. For all of these bands, maybe some of their albums were really good. Maybe some of their albums were really really bad.  Oh, but the greatest hits album is nothing but the best of the best.  It becomes the one album that everyone can reminiscence on. Where no song failed, only the big musical successes.

So if you could take your job, all of those good ideas you ever had, your biggest successes over your entire career, what would your greatest hits album consist of?  I hope you can remember.

This is the record you put on when someone looks at your resume. These are the hits you turn to (and leverage) when faced with current and future problems that need fresh ideas and fixing.

A nice greatest hits album for you and your career showcases your experience.  Now, once you establish an entire greatest hits anthology, well then that's professional wisdom.

Either way, people love to listen to greatest hits. Yea, they love to listen to yours too. Trust me.  Just don't be a one-hit wonder.
